This cookbook is a pictorial guide on the preparation and cooking of traditional and non-traditional foods in the 'dry season' in the Fitzroy Valley in Western Australia (WA). It is the partner to the Fitzroy Valley cook book volume one (the wet season).
The cookbook includes information on how much sugar is in many commonly eaten breakfast cereals, 'slack' breakfast choices, and milk, as well as providing a list of essential appliances to cook with.
Development of this cookbook was community orientated with all the recipes coming from community members from the Fitzroy Valley as part of the Nindilingarri cultural health nutrition program. There is information on the history of the community where the recipe has come from and also the name of the language group.
