Are all your books used?

Yes, our books are used and are graded according to their condition.

Where do you get all your books from?

All of our books are from teachers who have either changed grades, careers or retired..

What condition will my book(s) be in?

We aim to fully disclose the condition of each that we sell to ensure that you will be happy with you purchase when it arrives.  All books are inspected, cleaned and any minor repairs made, including covering any identifying signs of previous ownership.  Book are then graded based on their condition, the grade appears in the book description.  Please refer to our Book Condition Guide for detailed information on how our books are graded.

Are all your resources used?

No, at present we have a variety of both used and new teacher resources and supplies.  New resources are in original unopened packaging and item description will be clearly state ‘NEW’ on the listing.

What condition will my resources be in?

Each item has a detailed description and photographs that will explain and show the condition of the item.  To ensure that we only supply the highest quality of used resources, we will not sell any resource that we would not be happy to use ourselves.

Can I order by email?

Yes, in addition to our shopping cart on-line orders, Thrifty Teachers also accepts email orders for manual processing.  Customers can email their order to thriftyteachers@hotmail.com.  The order should include the product name and price of the product(s) to be purchased, your full name, address, delivery address, phone number and preferred payment method.  Due to limited stocks of each item we are unable to guarantee that the items will still be available when the order is manually processed.  Should the item not be available when the email order is manually processed the customer will be notified as soon as possible by telephone or email.

Can I collect?

Yes, we do allow collection, however we will only hold items that have not been paid for on our site for 2 days, after which stock is automatically returned to the store, unless otherwise agreed with Thrifty Teachers.

What happens if the item is not what I ordered, not as described or damaged?

Thrifty Teachers complies with the conditions and warranties set out by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (CCA) and therefore our goal is to ensure that all items we supply are as per the descriptions provided on our website.  Should you believe that an item you receive is not as ordered, described or damaged please refer to our Refunds Policy.

What methods of payment can I use?

Thrifty Teachers accepts MasterCard, Visa and PayPal payments. 

We also offer two pre-approved options:

Cash on Collection:  Cash payment on collection of goods
Bank Deposit:    Deposit directly into bank account

IMPORTANT:  Both of these options need to be pre-approved prior to submitting an order and selecting these options. 

Credit Card Purchase: Select this option if you prefer to pay using your Visa or MasterCard. You will be required to type in your Credit Card Number, CVC Number, Credit Card Expiry Date and the Cardholder's Name. All credit card payments are fully encrypted and sent over a secure network.

PayPal : Select this option if you would like to pay using your PayPal account.

Thrifty Teachers does not accept money order payments or cheques.

Is your website secure?

Yes, Thrifty Teachers is certified Level 1 PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant to ensure the security of your information when paying by credit card.
